  • 11/2006 Habilitation (post-doctoral lecture qualification) in the field of Systematic Musicology. Title of habilitation thesis: Die fokale Dystonie bei Musikern und ihre Auswirkung auf die musikalische Performanz (Focal dystonia in musicians and its influence on musical performance). Title of habilitation lecture: Experimentelle Untersuchungen zur Entwicklung der sensomotorischen Fertigkeiten bei klavierspielenden Kindern und Jugendlichen sowie bei professionellen Pianisten (Experimental studies on the development of sensorimotor skills in children pianists and in professional pianists)

  • 1996-1999 Resident at the Department of Internal Medicine, Regensburg University Hospital. Scientific research in Cardiology: Pathophysiology and molecular biology of pressure overload-induced left ventricular hypertrophy
  • since 2000 Postdoctoral Fellow at the Institute of Music Physiology and Musicians' Medicine, Hannover University of Music and Drama. Clinical work at the Outpatient Clinic for Musicians' Diseases. Lectures and seminars for music students and teachers on topics of Music Physiology
