Biofeedback system

Biofeedback is the process of gaining greater awareness of physiological functions primarily using instruments that provide information on the activity of those same systems, with a goal of being able to manipulate them at will. We use Biofeedback in conditions of performance anxiety. Here, we measure the excitation level of frontal brain areas in musicians while they perform and teach them to reduce general arousal in order to reach a state of attentive wakefulness and focussed mind. We are grateful to Prof. Marie-Luise Neunecker for providing us with the Biofeedback Device.
